Dance of the Poppies

In homage to Georgia O'Keefe and to the vibrant life in all of us, to seeds and fertility, this watercolor sprouted spontaneously out of very wet washes. I don't remember whether I imagined the poppies or purchased live ones, but their electric colors contrasted with the indigo black of their centers excited me. I convey that joie de vivre though the motion of overlapping shapes and the freedom of color movement in water.
